Mat Pilates

Course Description

This course is an introduction to Pilates basics. Pilates focuses on body awareness and symmetry in motion. Uses controlled movements working the pelvic floor and core muscles, particularly the lower back, obliques, abdominal and hip muscles.

Improve your core strength, movement and balance in a safe environment.

  • no prior experience necessary. Student will need to be mindful that they will be required to move – up and down from the floor

What to bring

  • please bring along an exercise mat – if you do not have one, these can be purchased from large discount stores or better quality sports stores, depending on your preference
  • please wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement
  • water bottle
  • some equipment may be available for use i.e. circle, therabands, small balls, however if you have your own please bring along
