Course description

Basic and advanced wheel techniques and a variety of approaches to hand-building. For all levels and interests. Clay purchases required.

What to bring/wear

Clay and tools

  • Clay is no longer included in pottery course fees. You may bring your own or purchase it at the studio.
  • Recommended clays: Walkers No 10 or Clayworks JB3.
  • If you are purchasing clay at the studio please bring at least $20.00. Clay will not be issued without payment.
  • Please bring cash in small denominations so we do not have to issue change.
  • Pottery tools are available for your use. If you would like to buy your own we suggest asking your tutor’s advice first.
  • Protective clothing.
  • An old towel.
  • Notebook and pen.
  • Dust mask.
  • Sponge/piece of foam.
  • Ruler.

Important information

  • Your fee covers glazes, associated materials and firing of the work that is produced during the class. It does not cover items produced outside the class; please do not bring these for glazing or firing.
  • If you have your own transport please take your clay home each week. The limited storage is for students using public transport.

Please note that children must not attend this class unless it is a specified parent/child activity.

Refund policy

Cancellations and Refunds
Please choose your course carefully. A full refund is payable in the event that a class is cancelled. No other refunds are considered except for extenuating circumstances which are supported by a written application.
