School for Seniors

Course description

A welcoming inclusive environment for all. Make new friends, keep active and enjoy stimulating discussions, guest speakers, activities and more.
An annual fee applies – there may be additional costs for special activities such as excursions.

The School for Seniors is run under Libraries Tasmania’s Adult Education program. It caters for people in the senior age group, usually retired persons, who meet for approximately two hours on the first Friday of each month.

The group is generally self-managing and arranges its own programs with assistance from Libraries Tasmania through the provision of facilities and other support.

What your course will cover

  • Volunteer guest speakers present information and answer questions on a range of interesting and stimulating topics.

Important information

  • A program will be provided to you from the “School for Seniors” Group at the first session.
  • A minimal levy may apply to cover tea/coffee.
