Dr. David Leaman has a doctorate in geophysics-structural geology from the University of Tasmania. He has worked as a hydrologist, as an engineering geologist and as a geophysicist. He was a lecturer at the University of Tasmania between 1972 and 2001; and since 1981 has been working as a consultant and author. David has been generous with his time as a volunteer speaker with school groups, School for Seniors and U3A. He has conducted a number of walks for Adult Education in recent years, exploring the findings of Charles Darwin during his brief stay in Hobart. Some people regard his ideas as controversial.
