Stuart Whitney has walked extensively in Tasmania for many years, and has also walked on the mainland, in the United Kingdom, the United States and Borneo. He is a member of the Police Search & Rescue Liaison Committee and has been involved in numerous real and practice search & rescues. He also arranges and leads some qualifying training walks for the Hobart Walking Club on a regular basis. Other interests include photography, bird watching & native plant identification.
