Rita Power
Resume
A latecomer to the wonderful world of textiles, Rita has embraced it joyfully. Being a lifelong but fairly conservative knitter, the turning point came when she first discovered the beautiful colours and textures of recycled silk and sari silk ribbon, produced by refugee women in Nepal. This together with the discovery of free form knitting and crochet, was the beginning of an exciting adventure. Since then, she has added silk painting and dyeing, felting, needle felting and spinning to her repertoire.hopefully 2010 will offer many opportunities for Rita to share with anyone and everyone her love of colour, yarn and fun.
