Michael Fox finished his training to be a teacher of the Alexander Technique in 1993. He has been teaching in Launceston since 1995 and running workshops for diverse groups of people, from physiotherapists to dressage riders. Originally trained as a physiotherapist, he became frustrated by the inability of conventional means to help people change postural-based problems. When he first encountered the Alexander Technique he soon realised its potential for assisting people in this area. Once he began to study it in more detail it became obvious that the Technique was not just about posture but about the quality of human movement in general. He has found it most useful in his every-day activities whether it be sitting, walking or rock-climbing.
