Merrilyn Heazlewood has had a long love affair with embroidery, having opened and owned Petit Point in Launceston and Burnie, then Little Stitches in Hobart. From 1978 Merrilyn introduced cross stitch, patchwork and silk ribbon embroidery to Tasmania. Her expertise developed in the area of silk ribbon embroidery, where she would often be touring overseas promoting her latest book, demonstrating or teaching classes.
