Jo Atkins graduated in 1990 from the University of Tasmania with a degree in visual arts. In 1991 she worked part-time with the RSPCA which led to her working in a dog grooming parlour and as a veterinary nurse. The opportunity arose for her to own her own salon and she ran Allpets Grooming Service for six years. Her expertise includes scissoring and clipping in the various styles associated with different breeds.
