Elizabeth Freeman is Lecturer in Medieval European History at the University of Tasmania, Hobart campus. Her university teaching areas include: Early Medieval Europe; High Medieval Europe; medieval religion; historical methodology. Like all medieval historians, she has to cover a wide field (all of Europe, from the third century to the sixteenth century), and she is always discovering new areas of fascination. Religious history, economic history and artistic and archaeological history are particular favorites. She has taught medieval courses at the CAE in Melbourne and for Adult Education, Tasmania.
