              Fred Koolhof

              Resume

Fred Koolhof has bushwalked extensively in all conditions in Tasmania for almost 40 years. He was involved in caving in the 1970s, working as a photographer on numerous survey expeditions of larger cave systems.
Fred was a member of the first party to raft the Franklin River in a single trip – long before the river became famous for its environmental significance. He has trekked in Kashmir as well as in Nepal in the Annapurnas, and with Liz Caldwell-Koolhof in the Arun Valley in the Everest region.
Fred has skied in North America and Europe, is a foundation member of the Toorbunna Ski Club at Ben Lomond, and is a longstanding member of the Hobart Walking Club. He is also a keen cyclist.
