Imma was born in a town near Barcelona in Spain. She loves languages, and is a native bi-lingual speaker of Catalan and Spanish. She also speaks French. In 1986 she came to Australia with an Australian husband and two small children. She has a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Barcelona, where she majored in English in 1985. She also has Australian qualifications in translating and interpreting and, between 2000-2003, she taught interpreting at TAFE. In 2007 Imma was awarded a “NAATI” excellence award for her work as a translator and interpreter. She joined Adult Education as a language tutor in 1994. Imma is a passionate Latin who loves laughing and ensures that you enjoy your class!
